IncorpMe (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use incorpme.com or purchase our products, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights. We serve customers in 47+ countries and apply these protections globally.

Payment information

We do not store full payment card numbers or sensitive financial data on our servers. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors who are responsible for the secure handling of that data under their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS compliance programs.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract: To deliver the courses or services you purchased and to manage your account
  • Legitimate interests: For site security, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving our products — balanced against your rights
  • Consent: For marketing and promotional communications — you may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing
  • Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws, tax obligations, and lawful government requests

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations (for example, retaining transaction records)

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers: Payment processors, email delivery platforms, web hosting providers, and portal software vendors — under appropriate data processing agreements limiting their use of your data
  • Formation partners: Registered agent services and, where applicable, state filing processors — only to the extent required to complete your DFY service
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of IncorpMe, our customers, or the public
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you if your data is transferred to a new controller

5. International Data Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located in the United States or other countries outside your jurisdiction. If you are located in the EU or UK, transfers of your personal data to countries without an adequacy decision occur under appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. By using our services, you acknowledge this transfer.

6. Data Retention

  • Account and course access data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter
  • Financial and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes
  • DFY service formation documents are retained for 5 years to support your compliance needs
  • You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (subject to our legal retention obligations)

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication, security, and basic site functionality — these cannot be disabled without breaking core features
  • Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors navigate our site so we can improve it — you can opt out via your browser settings or a cookie preferences tool
